Dr. Gerald “Trey” Alexander III is an orthopedic surgeon with Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute in North Tampa, Wiregrass, and Zephyrhills. His specialties include hip and knee replacement, including non-surgical treatment and minimally invasive and robot-assisted procedures, and knee arthroscopy. Dr. Alexander earned bachelor’s degrees in exercise and sport science at the University of FL in Gainesville and in biomedical sciences at the University of South Florida. He also received his medical degree from USF, where he completed an orthopedic surgery residency. Dr. Alexander completed his fellowship training in hip and knee replacement at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
