Fresh out of college, Steve began investing in real estate by purchasing, renovating, and managing apartment buildings, rooming houses, and single-family homes in Gainesville, Florida. That firsthand experience as an investor shaped a belief that still guides his work today: property owners deserve a management company that cares for their investments as much as they do. In 1988, Steve founded Apartment Hunters, which grew into Florida's largest apartment locating company, serving Gainesville, Orlando, and Tampa. In 1998, the company was recognized as an Inc. 500 business, one of the fastest-growing privately held companies in America. Working with thousands of renters, property owners, apartment communities, and real estate professionals gave Steve invaluable insight into every stage of the rental lifecycle and helped shape his vision for a better property management model. Over the last several decades, Steve has built platforms, systems, and growth infrastructure across the real estate, relocation, and rental industries, including solutions connected to Cendant Mobility Rental Network, Prudential's relocation company, and Keller Williams' national rental initiative. His experience combining real estate, technology, operations, and growth strategy has made him a forward-thinking leader in the evolution of property management. In 2004, Steve founded Rent Solutions with a vision to deliver a higher level of property management—one built around specialized teams, proven systems, accountability, and exceptional customer service rather than relying on a single property manager to do everything. Under his leadership, Rent Solutions has continued to refine its processes, invest in its people, and build one of the most experienced property management teams in Tampa Bay. Today, Steve is the driving force behind EDGE, Rent Solutions' proprietary Expert Driven Guidance Engine. Over the past several years, he has led the company through a complete transformation of its operations, technology, artificial intelligence, and client experience. His focus is on creating a more connected, transparent, and proactive property management model that gives owners greater visibility, faster communication, smarter insights, and more confidence in how their investments are managed. Known for his entrepreneurial vision, systems-driven thinking, and relentless focus on innovation, Steve continues to challenge the traditional property management model.
